Need Design Requests

Recommended Posts

Roosef    262

I need to start compiling a Portfolio for professional work, and I need to take some requests for some various designs.
This may include:

  • Steam Logos (1000x1000 px)
  • Wallpapers (1920x1080 px)
  • YouTube Banners (2560x1440 px)
  • YouTube Thumbnails (1280x720 px)
  • Anything Else, as long as you give me the exact dimensions.

Just Comment what you want here, or message me on Steam...

All I have at the moment, is everything thats on my Profile's Artwork Section.

Right now, I have been using the Flat Design look for stuff.

I've finished a few iterations of a business card, and I've almost finished a Personal Infographic for Uni.

I will upload them when I can. But for now, just check out my Steam Profile!

Roo, You should look into making CS stickers and now that they have been released, sprays. You might have some luck, and with us voting for you, who knows. It's not a bad way to start making a portfolio if you have spare time. Stuff like your Aequitas image would do fairly well, with an interesting design and popping colours.

I've tried making a Stickers for CS; "Dak Dak Goose".

But It didn't get many upvotes, so I took it down.

And the only hinderance in making CS Stickers, is that I use MAC OSX. Thus not allowing me to use the programs needed to make these Stickers (ie. VTFEdit).

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to make some stickers again. Its just alot more time-consuming on a Mac than it would be on a Windows.

I'd be happy to help if you need, I have all the stuff for it. In terms of the whole upvotes thing, it's mostly a bunch a bull. There are several bots running around downvoting stuff, the most important thing as far as I know is to get it out there, so post it on the forums, maybe the csworkshop subreddit.

I'd love a nice cow collage for my spray.

This is not enough information. All I have to go off is a cow collage.

I don't do Collages, I do Designs.

Meaning, I don't take already created pictures/photos and whack them all on top of each other.

I make my designs from scratch, and on occasion, using a reference image.

Using another person's image (without modification) is considered plagiarism, and I will not do work if it involves such things.

For future reference, I'd need more information to go off.

For example:

  • Design Style
    • Isometric Design* - Works better for Landscapes (Example1 Example2)
    • Flat Design - REALLY Simple/Minimal Flat images using occasional shadows (Example1 Example2)
    • Typographic Design** - Using Text to make really cool stuff (Example1 Example2)
    • Combinations
      • Flat Isometric (Example)
      • Isometric Typography (I'll get an example later)
      • Flat Typography (Example)
    • Other (Specify)
  • Colours - Great site for the following colour methods ---> Link
    • CMYK (Print Based Format)
    • RGB (Web Based Format)
    • HEX Codes (Basically a compressed, smaller spectrum version of RGB)
  • What is to be included
  • If there is text, and what it says
  • Specific Font Family° (Optional)
    • Serif - Little flicks at the ends (Example)
    • Sans-Serif - No Flicks (Example)
    • Slab Serif - Blocked Flicks (Example)
  • Deadline

This if for everybody's reference. I will most likely put this up on my Steam Profile at a later time.

So if you wanna check out my profile, Here it is.

Thanks for your time,

- Roo

*Don't expect me to do a perfect job. I am really new at isometric design, and it'll take quite some time.

** Most things might not work. Just saying.

° Normally, if the font family is not included, I just choose whichever best represents what the logo/type is trying to say (ie. If its a New-Age thing, I'd choose Sans-Serif)

Roo, if you like, I may be able to assist you with VTFEdit. It would give me some practice with texturing in the game, since I'd like to make something for the new map which is going to require some complicated stuff...

Thanks for the offer, Akira. But I don't use VTFEdit for anything other than TF2 Sprays or CSGO skins/stickers.

That was my point. If that's the only thing keeping you from making stickers and sprays, and I'd be working with the program anyway in a Windows environment, it wouldn't be a roadblock for you if I'm permitted to assist.

Draw me some nice furry tits for a spray, cheers.

Drawing tit's is one of the small joy's of life.

I guess that still applies to furries.

You can always try, but after spending between 1 and 10 hours (or more if you're a procrastinating, easily distracted idiot(me_irl)) watching something develop it starts to feel like your baby, so you put it's ass to work online to pay for your retirement.

In all seriousness tho, all most people don't fap to their own wares in the same way.... damn, I'm having a hard time imagining many scenarios where something someone does can't/isn't used by them.

Do it yourself analogy: What do you create but wouldn't use it yourself?
